DISTRICT #5. . .Here is a reminder that the District #5 Spring Conference is scheduled for Saturday,
March 15, at the Kickapoo Inn, Jct Hwys 14 & 61, Readstown. Registration, coffee and rolls at 8:30
a.m.; call to order at 9:00 a.m. The agenda includes a preview of spring elections, reports from officers,
Executive Board members and staff representatives. Please contact retired members from the District and
invite them to attend the conference. They are a valuable resource to us all.

CONVENTION HOTEL ROOMS. . .We know that Council 40 Annual Convention hotel, the Stevens Point
Holiday Inn Hotel & Conference Center, is full. In addition to the nearby hotels and motels listed in the
Convention Call, we secured additional blocks of rooms at the Royale Inn, 5110 Main Street, Stevens
Point, 715-341-5110; at the Hampton Inn, 3090 Village Park Drive, Plover, 715-295-9900; and at the
Sleep Inn, 1560 American Drive, Plover, 715-342-0400. Secretaries of local unions/chapters received
additional information regarding the rates and amenities of these new hotels as well as the waiting list for the
original 350 rooms reserved for the convention.
