AFSCME FAMILY SCHOLARSHIPS. . .The
International Union has announced the 2010 scholarship program
for children of AFSCME members. Thirteen scholarships of $2,000
each will be awarded. The scholarships will be renewed for
$2,000 each year for up to four years, provided the student
remains enrolled in a full-time degree program at an accredited
institution. For copies of the application form, you should
contact AFSCME Family Scholarship Program, c/o AFSCME Advantage,
1625 L Street N.W., Washington, DC 20036 or go to the AFSCME
website at www.afscme.org/members/880.cfm. Applications must be
post-marked no later than December 31, 2009. Scholarship winners
will be announced by March 31, 2010.
